I am Donnie Young.
I watch a lot of television. You might be saying to yourself, “Wait, you can’t watch anymore than I do.” You’d be wrong. I do. Just ask my TiVo.

I live in Edgewater, a neighborhood on the Northside of Chicago, with my non-sexual domestic partner Phil.
I work in customer experience at an insurance company, where I conduct research and design exceptional user experiences. For the past couple of years, I’ve been pursuing a graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University. I graduate in June 2010.
I really enjoy cooking and eating out. Uncommon Ground (especially at their new outpost on Devon Avenue) is my new favorite place in Chicago (I wholeheartedly recommend the Treetini to accompany every item on the menu — seriously, I’ve tried everything). Parkhouse Eatery is my favorite place in San Diego. In Boston, it has to be Aquitaine and the Franklin Cafe (which serves a mean cosmo, which I wasn’t allowed to have for a very, very long time).
Online shopping is another hobby/addiction. I’m always amazed at how the process of buying things has been changed by the Internet. At one point in my life, I never needed to leave my house. I miss you Kosmo.com!
On another subject, I’m frequently described by my friends as a lesbian trapped in a gay man’s body. Draw your own conclusions.
