du is the second largest telecom company in the United Arab Emirates, providing fixed line, cable, and mobile services. du’s retail stores are used more as service centers than a retail locations. The stores are crowded with customers waiting to get help with things such as paying bills, updating addresses or Emirate’s ID, or billing issues. In order to more efficiently service their customers, du is working to further develop their website and app, and push customers to use these self-service methods. As the transition to self-service takes place, du needed to re-vamp their retail locations so they are more sales- and product-focused versus service-focused.
du worked with us to design and build their new retail concept. Partnering with CalllisonRTKL and JLL, we put together a team of cross-functional experts to lead the concept and design of both the physical and digital aspects of the store, as well as oversee all details of building out the test store including cost management, construction management, procurement, and program management.
